Orion's angiogram today showed the doctors that there was still a couple of problems still inside Orion's head so Dr. Neal Rutledge immediately operated on him BUT fortunately it was non-invasive surgery although we did not know this to be the case until the procedure was almost over. Dr. Rutledge came out and explained to Aris, Matt, Renee, Colleen and David that he had found 2 dura fistulas (hard connections of veins where connections should not be). He went through Orion's femoral artery to clear these fistulas and now feels that Orion should not need any more operations or procedures, at least not like the ones he has endured in the last 14 days.
Dr. Rutledge feels that Orion has at least a year of recovery/rehab in front of him because, as he put it, Orion's cerebellum really took one heck of a hit and it will take a long time recovering from that. So thank you everyone for your continued prayers. He needs it and we all need it.
Now, speaking of problems inside of heads, I wonder if Dr. Rutledge can do anything for me????
